Seattle Auto Insurance Coverage

By Steve Turner

There are a number of insurance providers that offer the purchase of Seattle Auto Insurance coverage. Many drivers will choose to have additional types of coverage included on the standard auto policy to allow them to have more financial security in the event of an accident.

The type of coverage options could vary from insurance provider to provider. Some of these options include tow truck insurance, emergency roadside insurance, and auto glass insurance.

Washington state law does not mandate that you have the above types of coverage on your policy. But if you find yourself in a situation where you could use their coverage you will wish you had added them to your policy at a minimal cost rather than pay the large fee to pay for the emergency yourself.

Many drivers have had the terrible experience of having their car vandalized and one of their windows broken. It can cost over $500 to replace some windows. Depending on the amount of deductible that you have on your policy this may leave you responsible for the total cost of replacement.

When deciding which options to add to your policy add up how much the addition is going to cost you for the year. If say adding auto glass coverage to your policy increases your premium by $50 a month, this would equate to $600 a year and you could be better off just paying for window repairs yourself.

One other option to add to your policy is daily rental insurance coverage. This allows you to be able to have a rental car if your primary vehicle is totaled in an accident.

If you are concerned about this, and want to ensure that you will have a way to get to work if that does happen, adding this type of coverage will provide you with a peace of mind. Before you do so, make sure and ask your insurance agent if it is included already in your comprehensive or collision coverage. - 23211
