Auto Insurance Cost - The Things That Make Your Premiums Go Through the Roof

By Vernon L. Stevens

Have you every thought to yourself, "I shouldn't be paying this much for car insurance" well, if you have you are not alone. In the U.S. we are required to have car insurance, it is the law and who are we to oppose our judicial system?

So, we have to have it but why do we have to pay so much and what factors cause us to pay extra then our fellow citizens? Well there are quite a few factors that might potentially cause you to shell out more then your friends but the ones beneath tend to cause the greatest increases.

1 -- Try to uphold a clean record when it comes to traffic citations. If you have a lead foot well you need to stop! A speeding citation will KILL your wallet/purse. A single speeding ticket can cost you a lot in fines but boy are you going to shell out much more on your auto insurance policy. How about a 100-300 percent in premium payments? Yeah... Don't drive too fast.

2 - Do you have a son or daughter? If so you are going to pay dearly when they reach driving age. Teens are a huge liability for car insurance companies. They speed, they don't pay attentions, and they are easily distracted. They are pretty much a ticking time bomb. Most people get into at least a minor bump up by the time they are 21 and this why their premium payments are much higher.

There really isn't a way of dropping payments when it comes to brand new drivers, you just have to shop around from one company to another and hope you discover a good quality deal.

3 - If you have been in a few accidents then you may be paying more then other. In fact you probably are. The one way to fix this is to go to a new insurance provider, one that offers accident forgiveness.

4 -- So you have a high performance automobile? Good for you but you are paying a bunch for auto coverage. If you want cheaper coverage you need to get rid of the gaudy car, sorry!

As I said there are tons of factors that cause coverage prices to change, they go up, they go down. The only way to really make sure you have a fair plan is to look around. Get a couple online quotes and see what you can discovery. Good luck. - 23211

CFD Trading Strategy - Symmetrical Triangles Downside Breakout

By Jeff Cartridge

The symmetrical triangle can be traded on the short side entering the trade as the stock breaks out of the pattern to the downside. The pattern forms when the two boundary lines that contain the price movement converge to a point. The bottom line slopes up toward the top line which slopes down. Both lines have nearly the same slope as each other which is why the pattern is called symmetrical.

Symmetrical Triangles Can Be Profitable Short

The symmetrical triangle can be traded both long and short and when it does break down, historically 45% of the time, it can be profitable. A symmetrical triangle breakout to the downside is not as reliable as a breakout to the upside with only 44% of the trades being profitable. The average profits are just 0.33% in 9 days.

Specific Setups to Improve Profitability

As you would expect a break to the downside works better in a falling sector and market environment. By using filters that require the market, stock and the sector to be in a consolidation or a down trend you can improve the results.

A breakout from a symmetrical triangle is best if it occurs later in the pattern, but not near the start. The best trades occur when a down side break occurs after the stock bounces off the lower boundary and drops back before hitting the upper boundary.

If the volume supports the breakout the results are better. Supportive volume means the volume on the way down is higher than the volume on the way up. Better breakouts occur when the stock closes lower than the previous day.

Symmetrical Triangles Can Be Profitable

Following a series of simple rules to determine which symmetrical triangle to trade can improve results dramatically. By applying these filters symmetrical triangles are profitable on 47% of the trades and return an average of 1.58% per trade in 9 days. This is a profitable pattern to trade.

Decreased Volatility Breakout Strategy (Part II)

By Ahmad Hassam

Aging Trend: This is the third stage of the trend and is the period of consolidation as the trend comes to maturity. As the momentum of the trend exhausts itself, volatility tends to decrease at this stage of the trend. This is the period where lot of profit taking will take place.

Both the bulls and the bears are hesitant to make daring moves at this stage of the trend. Experienced traders try to get out of their trades at this stage of the trend by closing their positions. This satisfies the appetites of inexperienced traders as they consolidate their positions.

The trend takes a short break and the volatility is low during this stage of the trend. This is the period of consolidation and the prices tend to stay calm during this period. Currency prices have moved by a large amount in the previous period of high volatility.

End of Trend: This is the time when the prevailing trend ends and reverses itself after some new information is revealed about a currency that changes the mass opinion. This results in the rapid adjustment of prices within a short time as the market players tend to absorb the information.

Many stops will get triggered during this stage of the trend. Especially if they have been caught on the wrong side of the market, traders become desperate to get out of their positions.

During this stage of the trend there is a sharp follow through of the prices in the reversed direction. You can see even within a trend currency prices can experience decreased volatility followed by increased volatility as the crowd psychology keeps on changing.

Traders with open positions during this low period of volatility are the most vulnerable to unanticipated news. Decreased volatility can be found during trending or ranging phases.

However deceased volatility provides an excellent opportunity to traders to prepare and profit from an imminent change from low to high volatility. During this time gains can be made from the unsuspecting players and this is known as the Decreased Volatility Breakout Strategy.

But the success of this strategy lies in measuring the volatility of the forex market correctly. There are several technical indicators that can help you visualize the volatility in the currency prices.

You can use triangle patterns as one of the best indicators of decreasing price volatility in the currency price charts. Combine the triangle patterns with technical indicators to confirm or deny decreasing price volatility. Two of the most useful indicators that can help you measure the volatility of the currency prices are: 1) Moving Averages and 2) Bollinger Bands.

When a particular type of triangle has been identified by the trader, a high probability trade may be in sight. All triangles show decreasing price volatility in the forex market. You can take advantage of the decreasing price volatility in the forex market through identifying the triangle formations. - 23211

Compare Car Insurance Rates - Find Better Coverage For Less

By Michael Conti

We all like to save money and a great way to do that is to compare car insurance rates. When is the last time you even bothered to shop around for car insurance anyway? It seems rather common that we get into the habit of just paying our insurance bills when they arrive and that's the end of it. But the fact of the matter is that for a great many people it is possible to save a substantial amount of money by finding a better deal.

It is not, however, a wise idea to sacrifice sufficient coverage for a lower monthly premium. There are many things that influence automobile insurance premiums. It is helpful to have an awareness of what these influences are in order to find ways to lower your premium without lowering your coverage.

The deductible you pay has the largest influence on how much insurance is going to cost you. A deductible is simply the amount of money you will pay out of pocket before your insurance coverage kicks in and pays for the rest. If you are looking to save money with a high deductible then you may end up paying quite a bit of money if you have to make a claim. Conversely, if you have a low deductible your insurance premiums will be high.

The deductible part of insurance policy pricing is a bit of a balancing act. But there are other things that play a role in the cost of your premium, some of which you can control. For example, many car insurance companies offer a discount to customers who install an anti-theft device, such as a car alarm. They also give a discount to customers who park their cars in a garage and not on the street. They realize that all of these things will help diminish the possibility of a claim.

Insurance companies pay attention to those things that show evidence that you are a responsible citizen. Keeping a clean driving record, free of traffic ticks and accidents, will pay off in a lower premium. Insurance companies also pay attention to their customer's credit rating. If you have a good credit rating your rates will be lower than if have negative marks on your credit report.

Other factors that are not easy to control also influence your car insurance rates. Your age, where you live, and the type of car you drive, both make and year, are taken into consideration when your rate is determined. If, for instance, you have opted to drive an expensive sports car, you will pay a very high premium. Sports car drivers are considered to be more aggressive and thus more accident prone.

Each state is different in the amount and type of coverage required for car insurance but every state requires some form of coverage. There are no exceptions. Looking into exactly what your state's requirements are will be helpful in deciding what to purchase.

There are many websites online that you can visit to shop and compare car insurance rates. You will be asked to input information about your car and yourself. Your information is forwarded to interested insurance companies who are looking for customers. They will send you their best coverage offerings and the rest is up to you. Once you receive information from all of the providers you can compare and decide on the best policy for you. - 23211
